The Foundation for Chiropractic Progress, a 501 (c) 6 organizations welcomes you to the chiropractic blog. The Foundation has one mission to increase the public's understanding regarding the benefits of chiropractic care. Since June 2006 it has been placing full page advertisements in prominent national publications including Newsweek, Health, Martha Stewart Living, The New York Times just to name a few. It has retained a prominent public relations firm, CPR Communications, which on a monthly basis, issues press releases, advertorials and public service announcements.
We have identified that in 2007 alone, these efforts have generated over 250 million positive messages regarding the profession(or the equivalent of $3.5 million in advertising costs). Our advertorial on backpack safety was carried by over 776 newspapers in the country with a circulation of 40 million, and was recognized by a national agency as circulating an advertorial that was carried by the most newspapers than any other issued in 2007.
This coming Tuesday, April 8th, the Foundation is sponsoring a Webinar with the media regarding the most extensive study on neck pain to date. The study was sponsored by the Bone and Joint Decade Neck Pain Task Force and will be presented by the Task Force president, Dr Scott Haldeman.
