Numerous Chiropractic Organizations Support Chiropractic Position at World Health Organization

The National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) along with the National Chiropractic Mutual Insurance Company and other chiropractic organizations, including the World Federation of Chiropractic are helping to sponsor a position for a chiropractor at the headquarters of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva, Switzerland.

This is the first established chiropractic care appointment at the WHO. The position has been offered to Molly Meri Robinson, DC. She will be appointed as a mid-level technical officer, which is a non-treating physician position at the WHO. Dr. Robinson was the first chiropractic intern to serve at the WHO and it was her service that resulted in the development of a permanent chiropractic position with that organization.

Dr. Robinson is a graduate of Northwestern Chiropractic College in Minnesota. She previously served as National Legislative Chair for the Students of the American Chiropractic Association. She was also a regional representative of the World Congress of Chiropractic Students.

According to the WHO website, "The WHO is the directing and coordinating authority for health within the United Nations system. It is responsible for providing leadership on global health matters, shaping the health research agenda, setting norms and standards, articulating evidence-based policy options, providing technical support to countries and monitoring and assessing health trends."

Chiropractic care led to a faster healing process even if the cause of the injury has been brought by accidents or grave illnesses.

The main focus in a chiropractic treatment is the spinal cord as the philosophy of chiropractics is that all the points of the human body are connected with the spinal cord.
